LAFAYETTE - Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013, at a 1:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in La Chapelle de Martin & Castille for Angela Marie Gary, 45, who died on Sunday, October 13, 2013 in Lafayette.
Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum in Lafayette.
Reverend Michael Keith Landry, Pastor of St. Anne Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
She is survived by her life partner, Carrol Bernard of Lafayette; one son, Thomas Alex Turbitt of Edison, NJ; one sister, Mary H. Trahan and her husband, Martin "Bud" Trahan, Jr., of Youngsville; one brother, LeRoy Gary and his wife, Betty, of Coteau; one nephew, Chad Gary of Coteau; one niece, Jenny H. Landry of New Iberia; long-time friend, Mary Castille of Lafayette; and her two dogs, Jolie and Boudreaux.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zerbia J. and Lucille Menard Gary; and one nephew, Byron James Trahan.
Angela was born on October 20, 1967 in Lafayette, Louisiana and remained a resident her whole life. She worked for 19 years as a courier for Bruce's Auto Sales in Lafayette. She was a 1986 graduate of Lafayette High School. Angela loved the "Fighting Tigers" of LSU and Harley Davidson motorcycles. She was a loving companion, sister, aunt and friend to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Richard, Dwayne Hebert, Ricco Bertrand, Jackie Foreman and Todd DeRouen.
A Rosary will be recited by Brady LeBlanc on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 7:30 PM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN location.
The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 from 3:30 PM to 10:00 PM and will continue on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
