Alfred Pavy Bercier,

CROWLEY - Alfred Pavy Bercier, 85, of Crowley passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 7:55 pm. He was the son of Dr. Edwin Lastrapes Bercier and Lucille Pavy Bercier of Rayne, La. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Sarah Armentor Bercier, his sons, Mark Bercier of New Orleans, Conrad Bercier and wife Aimee' Zaunbrecher Bercier of Lafayette and daughter Rebecca Ann Young of Crowley, grandchildren Collin Stuart Bercier and wife Lauren Norfleet Bercier of Carencro, Joey James Abshire and wife Teresa Wade Abshire of Turkminstan, Caroline Bercier of Seattle, Washington and Ryan Christopher Bercier of New Orleans and 8 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 siblings and his son, Christopher Bercier.

Mr. Bercier was the owner of Southern Tire at 1001 Eraste Landry Rd. in Lafayette for 46 years. He was the founder of Southern Tire and Appliance in Crowley, which is now owned by his son Conrad.

A memorial Mass with Father Mikel Polson presiding will be held at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Crowley on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at 11:00 am. A reception will follow the Mass at The St. Michael's Parish Hall. Any contributions may be made to St. Michael's Church of Crowley or Hospice of Acadiana.
