YOUNGSVILLE - A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Mr. Gerald Lee "Jerry" Robinette, 68, who died at 4:17PM on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
A native of Pueblo, CO and a resident of Youngsville Mr. Jerry was the kindest most gentle man and a friend to everyone. He was employed at Stine Lumber and considered everyone there as part of his family and they treated him like family.
He is survived by his wife, Kathie Wiley Robinette of Youngsville; a son, John Robinette and his wife Julie of Derby, KS; a daughter, Monique Krieg and her husband William of Youngsville; his mother, Lenna Butler Duncan of Blue Eye, AR; a sister, Janelle Fry of Blue Eye, MO; three grandchildren, Conner Robinette, Fletcher Robinette, and Megan Krieg; and three great grandchildren, Spencer Comeaux, Bella Broussard, and Bryleigh Meaux.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lester Robinette.
David Funeral Home of Lafayette at 316 Youngsville Hwy (337)837-9887 will be handling the arrangements.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am Gerald's second cousin. I remember him will, he lived down the street from my Grandmother, his aunts house. I spent a lot of time there in the summers, and looked forward to spending time with him. He as a year older, and I looked up to him and enjoyed his company. Best wishes, Doug Parker
