A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, friend and more. Ready always with a warm smile and a helping hand. If you were lucky enough to know her, she will remain in your heart forever.

Sue would say something like this to us:
"Rather than say goodbye, I will say, Until we meet again....in Heaven.
May your sorrowful hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate my life well lived. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you."

There were so many special touches to this celebration of life of such a wonderful person that touched so many lives. Her brother, Jeff Kissinger, named the tallest tree on the hill after Suzey where she was born and raised in Vesper, Wisconsin and sent us a photo of it. He also sent with Bob's brothers, Larry & Bill Wallner, a mason jar filled with dirt from the hill that the family sprinkled into her grave before the casket was lowered; her brother, Bill and sister, Becky, sang "You are my Sunshine" at the end of her graveside service; The Louisiana Garden Club Association made a display of five vases at Sue's Visitation Wake and each garden club member brought her a red rose or a purple iris. They brought each flower again to her funeral service. The Garden Club President said something very poignant to us at Sue's Visitation: She said, "There are many people you meet that want to ride in the wagon, and there a few that are willing to push or pull the wagon as needed........Sue never wanted to ride in the wagon." Sue was a kind soul that never said a harsh word about or to anyone. She always met you with a smiling face and a helping hand. She was a wonderful cook, sister, daughter, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother, daughter-in-law, mother-in-law and cherished friend to many. Her memory will live on in our hearts until we meet again in Heaven.

We are fortunate to have known Sue through our son-in-law Chris. Sue was a lovely, caring person. We were immediately impressed by her easy manner and smile. One does not find such authenticy often, though she passed that attribute (and more) to Chris. It is obvious that family was central to Sue's life. She did a wonderful job of sharing her joy of life with them and others

Chris:
It's the little things, the small, everyday occurrences that you'll remember. The laughs, the stories, the smiles. And even though it seems like you can never recover from your loss, it is these very memories that will help push the pain away and bring back the smiles. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

"God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy."
