Eddie Aydell Obituary

Eddie Joseph Aydell died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012 at Ollie Steele Burden Manor. He was born February 6, 1910. He was a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of French Settlement. He was 102 years old. He retired from Ethyl Corporation with 31 years of service. Visiting will be at Greenoaks Memorial, 9595 Florida Blvd., on Friday, Sept. 14, 2012 from 10:30 a.m. until service at 12 p.m. Entombment in Greenoaks Mausoleum. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Gordon Hughmark; grandsons, Mark Bergeron, Beaumont, Texas and Daniel Bergeron, Memphis, Tenn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leontine Aydell; his parents, Vincent and Mathilde Roux Aydell, French Settlement; sisters, Ada Guitreau, French Settlement, and Bea Vicknair, Ponchatoula; and brothers, Alvin Aydell, Baton Rouge, and John Aydell, Baton Rouge. The family would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to the wonderful and kind staff of Ollie Steele Burden Manor where he spent the past four years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul or to a favorite charity.
