Preston Oscar Barras Jr. passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at the age of 74. He was a lifelong resident of St. James Parish. Son to the late Preston Sr. and Evelyn Barras. Brother to Eleanor Roberts(Malcolm), Randy Barras(Deborah), Lonnie Barras(Melissa) and the late Claude Barras Sr.(Katie). He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friend who will miss him dearly. Preston always had a love for fishing, boating and wood work. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 2208 Jefferson Hwy. Lutcher, La., on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 9AM till 10:45AM. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, La followed by the burial at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers masses are preferred in loving memory of Preston Barras Jr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Condolences may be expressed at www.hcalexanderfuneralhome.com.

Are hearts are sadden by the lost of Mr. Preston. He was always the first person at The Lutcher Senior Center every morning. He will be deeply missed by us all.
