Eloise Ducote Obituary

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Eloise passed away peacefully at her home in Port Allen with her 4 daughters by her side on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 at 8:34 a.m. at the age of 91. She was born Feb. 28, 1921 to Nita Marie Morel Langlois and George Langlois Sr. in New Roads. She grew up in New Roads and resided in Port Allen for the last 62 years. Visiting at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Allen on Thursday, Jan 17 from 10 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev. David Allen. Entombment will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Mausoleum in Brusly. She is survived by four daughters and their spouses, Carole and H.F. "Butch" Cason of Central, Susan and Charles Ancona of Youngsville, Bonnie and Frank Pirie of Zachary, and Wendy and Jon Brumfield of Central; 11 grandchildren, Kevin Cason and wife Pat, Nicole Cason Pennington and husband Steve, Keri Cason Meyers and husband Jason, Jennifer Ancona Semko and husband Mike, Jason Ancona, Kristy Pirie Barbe and husband Greg, Ashley Pirie Singleton and husband Richard, Evans Pirie and wife Marcee', Matthew Brumfield, Lance Brumfield and wife Allison, Grant Brumfield; 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, all of whom she dearly loved. She is also survived by her sister, Nell Hurst, two brothers, Edward Langlois and wife Nelma, Albin "Buck" Langlois and wife Barbara. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, John "J.E." Ducote, her parents, brothers, George, Percy, Lynn, Curt and John Langlois; sisters, Sedonia Langlois, Nita Mayeaux, Melba Bordelon. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. She was an avid LSU football, baseball, basketball fan having held season football tickets for over 50 years. She looked forward to holidays and family gatherings when she could spend time with her loved ones. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Family Jubilee Campaign.
