Drake, Brian Keith  
Brian Keith Drake, a native and resident of East Baton Rouge Parish, died at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015. He was 40. Visiting will be at Richardson Funeral Home, Clinton, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 22, 2015. Religious services are at Wesley United Methodist Church, Wilson, La., at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, conducted by Minister Nealy Brown. Interment will be in Carruth Cemetery, Wilson, La. Durr, Brenda Jean Smith  
Brenda Jean Smith Durr passed peacefully on May 17, 2015, surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. A native of Franklinton, LA, and long-time resident of Williamsburg, VA, Brenda was 72 years old and born on July 13, 1942. Brenda loved to read, garden, collect art, travel, decorate her home, play bridge and golf, but most of all Brenda loved her family and the Lord. She was an active member of the Kingsmill Bridge Club, Kingsmill Women's Social Club, Kingsmill Choraliers, bible study and Walnut Hills Baptist Church. Brenda graduated from Franklinton High School and Southeastern Louisiana University. Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Col. Donald David Durr, Sr., U.S.A. Ret.; daughter, Wendy Durr Wall and her husband Sidney Wall; son Donald "David" Durr Jr. his wife Jane-Lauren Brittingham Durr. She also is survived by her grandchildren Sidney "Davis" Wall, Claire Jane Durr, Anna Kate Durr; her sisters Genevieve "Genny" Smith Brannan and Hallene Smith Magee and husband Randy Magee; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her parents Hall Luther and Willie Mae Smith of Franklinton, LA. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188. Visiting hours will resume on Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 10 A.M. until the time of memorial service at 11 A.M. A reception celebrating her life will follow at Walnut Hills Baptist Church at 12 P.M. Interment will be at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. A resident of Smithdale, Mississippi went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 17, 2015, at her home. She was born December 29, 1940, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was 74 years of age. She is survived by her daughter, Marcie Stiegler, Baton Rouge, La; sister, Frannette Bryant, Baton Rouge, La.; 2 brothers, John Nathan Darouse and wife, Mary Jan, Smithdale, Ms., and Allan Prescott Darouse and wife, Joyce, Lake Charles, La.; niece, Wendy Bryant and nephew, Mike Bryant, both of Baton Rouge, La. Preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Clara and Chester Bennett and her father, Francis Darouse. She was a kind, loving mother, and a faithful sister, and will be missed by all that knew her. To quote a close friend, "She was a hoot." Dukes, Jeffrey Brice "Dukes"  
Jeffrey Brice "Dukes" Dukes, 32 years old of Hammond, Louisiana, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015, on the Mississippi River. Dukes was born on Monday, August 23, 1982, in Hammond. He graduated from Hammond High School. He was a Tankerman for Florida MarineTransport. Surviving are parents, James Dukes and Susan Fields Dukes, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Josh Detwiler, brother & sister-in-law, Will and Kim Dukes, grandmother and step-grandfather, Nancy Dillard and Frank Silliker, grandmother, Dorothy "Dot" Dukes, nephew and nieces, Kyle, Caroline and Claudia Detwiler. He is preceded in death by grandfather, Austin A Dukes, grandparents, Howard and Ruth Ray Fields. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Hammond. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, Wednesday, at 12:00 pm. noon. Obituaries from the Past Three Days

Davis, Deloris Mae George  
Deloris Mae George Davis was born in Baton Rouge, LA, on December 1, 1930, to the union of the late Willie George Sr. and Inez Jackson George and was raised with brother, Willie George Jr. (deceased). In Baton Rouge, she attended St. Francis Xavier Elementary and McKinley High, graduating from Southern University. At Pepperdine University, she earned a M.S. in Education and Language Arts. She began teaching at New Roads High in 1954. She married George Louis Davis (deceased), they were blessed with a son in 1963. In 1960, Deloris moved to California. She taught in Oakland, CA until retiring in 1988. She was a devout Catholic and longtime parishioner at St. John's Catholic Church in El Cerrito, CA. For 30 years prior she was a parishioner at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Baton Rouge. She spent her latter months recuperating from long-term illness at Vale Health Center in San Pablo, CA. Deloris was a kind hearted, generous spirited person who enjoyed celebrating life with family and friends. She passed away on April 23, 2015. She leaves in God's care, her devoted and loving son Damian G. Davis, daughter-in-law Lori and two grandchildren Daniel Louis and Amber Simone along with two nieces, Karen Ambeau and Demetria George, great nephew and niece, Jaubert and Kristen Ambeau and numerous cousins and friends. A memorial mass will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church on Monday, May 18, at 10:00 am.

Donaldson, James Milton  
James Milton Donaldson, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 2:30 a.m. at the Baton Rouge General Hospital. He was born November 9, 1930, in Baton Rouge, LA. He worked as a school employee for East Baton Rouge Parish and Louisiana State University. Visitation will be Monday, May 18, 2015 from 9 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on May 18, 2015 at Rose Hill Church, 3765 N. Acadian West, Baton Rouge, LA 70805. Conducted by Pastor Danny M. Donaldson, Sr. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery. Survived by his sister Lula Powell, brother and sister-in-law Vernon & Mary Donaldson, two sisters-in-laws, Wilma Donaldson, of Hartford, Connecticut and Myrtle Donaldson of San Francisco, California, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Theresa Donaldson, Parents, Meredith and Janie Donaldson, Grandparents, brothers, Matthew Donaldson Sr., Meredith Donaldson Jr., Edward Donaldson, and two sisters, Mattie Elbert and Ruth Donaldson. Dupuy, Gloria Richard  
Gloria Richard Dupuy a resident of LaPlace, LA., passed away Sunday May 10, 2015. She donated her body to the LSU Bureau of Anatomical Services. Created remains when returned will be laid to rest in Maurepas Community Cemetery next to husband Ralph O. Dupuy and baby Dupuy. She was also preceded in death by parents Verdun and Billie Langdon Richard and sister JoAnn Brown and leaves behind brothers and a sister.
