Stokes, Harvey M. "Polly"  
Harvey M. "Polly" Stokes, who was a resident of Central, LA, passed away on April 24, 2015. Harvey was 94 years old, born on January 6, 1921, and a native of Bude, MS. Visiting at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Monday, April 27, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A second visitation will take place at Baker Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from 10:00 am until religious services in the chapel at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Baker, LA. Polly is survived by her two sons, Paul Stokes and wife Renee, and Anthony Stokes and wife Cheryl; and good friends, Ms. Earline and Ms. Anna May. She is preceded in death by her father, Harvey Mullins; husband, Paul B. Stokes; 5 sisters; and 2 brothers. Polly was a long time member of Blackwater Methodist Church.

Sullivan, Cynthia Joan "Cissy"  
A loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend went to her eternal home, on Thursday, April 23, 2015. She was 62 years old. Cissy was a Parishioner of St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, and a Master Catechist for the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge. She leaves behind to cherish her memories; two daughters, Andrea Marie Sullivan and companion Jason Bankston, and Rebekah Sullivan Guillory and husband Jake; four brothers, Andrew Grega, James Grega, Robert Grega, William Grega, their spouses and children; three grandchildren, Elizabeth Sullivan, Reed Brignac and Jax Guillory. A gathering will be held at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church, on Tuesday, April, 28, 2015, from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am, conducted by Father Nutter and Deacon Clayton Hollier. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 32 years, Al Sullivan. Swain, Alyssa Melynn  
Alyssa Melynn Swain, born September 25, 1993, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 24, 2015. Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Thessalonians 5:16-18. Daughter, sister, nanny and friend to so many. Alyssa was born in Hammond, LA and resided in Colyell, LA. She was a student at Southeastern and was employed by Behavioral Intervention Group. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clara Booth Passman, Minette Lambert. Alyssa is survived by her fiancé Seth Breaux, Mother and Step-father Alice and John Bacque. Father, Perry Swain, Sisters, Nikki and Andrea Swain, Brother Nick Swain. Swindler, Sharon Achord  
Sharon Achord Swindler, native and resident of Baton Rouge, La., passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015, at the age of 53.She loved traveling and exploring the outdoors. A loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister, Sharon is survived by her husband of 30 years, Patrick Swindler; son, Chase Swindler; parents, Huey and Pauline Achord; and sisters, Janice Walsh (David), Connie Saizan (Randy), and Pam Sanders(Bobby). She is preceded in death by her fraternal grandparents, Henry and Beulah Achord Verbois and maternal grandparents, Flora Ann and Jerry Partin. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at 5 pm-8 pm and will resume on Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at 8 AM until funeral service at 10 am. A native of Maryland and resident of LaPlace, he passed away due to cancer at 11:53pm on Thursday, April 23, 2015. He was 54 years old, and a veteran of the US Air Force. He is survived by his son, Tyler Raymond Schaeffer; and special friend, Linda Amond. He went home to be with his mother, Betty Schaeffer; and his grandmother, Birdie Windsor. Johnnie Bell Young Simoneaux, 74, died on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Simoneaux; mother, Della Mae Babin; father, William Minister Young; step fathers, Harper Young and Joseph Babin; one sister, Elsie Marie Vitalli; one brother, Harry Marvin Young; and one special friend, Francis Dubis. Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in Donaldsonville and on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Donaldsonville. Interment to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Mausoleum in Donaldsonville. Pallbearers will be Kurt Medus, Chad Valentine, Chance Simoneaux, Brian Fernandez, Glenn Luna, and Trace Bourg.
