Dorothy ""Dot"" Hicks David, a native and resident of Baton Rouge passed away on Sunday March 10, 2013 at the age of 83. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. on Tuesday March 12, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm with a Rosary service at 6:30pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday March 13, 2013 at St. Louis King of France Catholic Church from 8:30am until Mass of Christian burial at 10:30am officiated by Rev. Jack Nutter. Burial will follow at Roselawn Gardens of Memory. Mrs. David is survived her daughter and son-in-law, Denise D. and Clint Dobson, two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Miki H. David and Todd and Lynnie M. David, six grandchildren, Charlotte D. Jones, Jolie David, Jeanne David, Jake David, Angela D. Boyd and Carlie Dobson; one great grandchild, Lance Jones, Jr.; brother-in-law, Freddie J. Boudreaux; sister-in-law, June C. Hicks; and many other family and dear friends that loved her deeply. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl. H. ""Bobby"" David, parents Russell W. and Thelma Mae Hicks, brother, Russell W. Hicks, Jr. and a sister, Thelma H. Boudreaux. Dot was a member of the Father Maynard Hurst Kaycee Auxiliary 9016 and St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Daughters. She was a retired Crossing Guard for the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's office.
