A retired sugarcane farmer and resident of Maringouin for 62 years, he died at 10:48 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at Pointe Coupee Health Care. He was 88 and a native of Oscar. Visiting at Niland's Funeral Home, New Roads, on Wednesday, June 5, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Thursday, June 6, from 10 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Religious service at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Thursday, June 6, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Monsignor Robert Berggreen. Entombment in False River Memorial Park Mausoleum. Survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Annette and Warren Cook, and Linda and Simon Denova; daughter-in-law, Lynda and husband John Leonard; son and daughter-in-law, Barry and wife Trina Bizette; sister, Laura Belle Bradley; brother-in-law, Clifford David; grandchildren, Donna Sellars, Johnny Torres, Kim Denova Barrett, Kevin Denova, Christy Sanders, Brandon Bizette, Bryant and Jerry Moreau and Tammy Cook; great-grandchildren, Dalton and Mason Torres, Amber Walls, Reid, John Ramsey and Evan Sellars, Dallas Barrett, Bella and Tula Denova, Angel Templet, Gabi and Hunter Moreau, Sara and Seth Moreau and Ethan Cook; and great-great-grandchildren, Collin and Kenlee Walls.
