Geral Thronson

He was a retired auto mechanic from Superior Transmission. He was a native of Hattiesburg, MS and a resident of Baton Rouge. Geral died at 12:45pm Monday, September 23, 2013, at Harvest Manor Nursing Home of Denham Springs. He was 62. Geral served with the Louisiana National Guard. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Thursday from 10:00am until the religious service at 2:00pm in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Rev. Glen Taylor. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Geral is survived by his two sons: David G. Thronson & wife Chasity, and Gary E. Thronson II & his wife Barbie; sister: Sylvia Thronson-Silva & husband Manuel; grandchildren: Dustin Bowman, Miranda Thronson, Dylan Thronson and Connor Thronson; great-grandson: Karter Thibodeaux; nephew: Ronny Jenkins; niece: Renee' Wells & husband Robby; great-nephew: Tanner Jenkins; and great-niece: Taylor Jenkins. He was preceded in death by his parents: Markil & Voncile Nobles Thronson; brother: Gary E. Thronson; sister: Janice Lechuga; grandparents: Hans F. & Elizabeth Broome Thronson, and Erving A. & Pearlie Mae Cox Nobles. Pallbearers will be: Dustin Bowman, Ronny Jenkins, Robby Wells, Dylan Thronson, Paul Aymond and Link Bieber. Honorary pallbearers are Connor Thronson, Tanner Jenkins, Taylor Jenkins, Garrett Wells, Miranda Thronson and Karter Thibodeaux and Robby Wells III. Geral was a member of Temple Baptist Church. Special thanks to Life Source Hospice and Harvest Manor for their love and care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge.
