James 'Peco' Swain

James ""Peco"" Swain passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at the age of 81. He was native of Plaquemine, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. James was a loving husband and father, dedicated provider for his family, and a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was enjoyed his career at Quality Metal Products where he retired after 49 years of service. He also enjoyed watching football games and spending time with family. James is survived by his daughter, Dana Swain; step-son, Jerry Rowe; sister, Bobbie Whiteside; four grandchildren, Jessica, James, Sidney, and Erin; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Colleen Howell Swain; parents, Ruben and Louise Swain; brother, R.O. Swain; and sister, Marilyn Callegan. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Monday, October 14, 2013 from 12 pm until funeral service at 2 pm. Interment to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Pallbearers will be Griff Whiteside, Mark Whiteside, Rhodes Whiteside, Wayne Grass, Sidney Swain, James Rowe, and Kyle Martinez.
