Jessie J. "J.C." Guidry Sr.

A retired pipefitter with the Local 198, he passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at his residence. He was 90 years old and a US Army World War II veteran. He was a resident of Port Allen and a native of White Castle. Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church in Port Allen on Wednesday December 4, 2013 from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Entombment in St. John The Baptist Catholic Church Mausoleum. He is survived by son Jessie Guidry Jr. and wife Susan Diane; three daughters Joyce Ann Guidry, Judy Ann Harris and Jean G. Witten and husband Larry; ten grandchildren Kelly Marie Wise and husband Jerry, Craig Guidry and wife Christy, Daniel Guidry and wife Shawna, Eboni Saurage and husband Josh, Christopher Guidry and wife Arin, Cutis Nickens and wife LaTasha, Charles Harris and wife Chanie, Chrystal Lacy and husband Eric, Robert Cope, Jr. and wife Jennifer and Ann Cope; numerous great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife Evelyn Hymel Guidry; parents William and Cordelia Dugas Guidry, sisters Eriea Haase, Lou Ann Bourgoyne, Ida Mae Wunstell and Mary Savoie; brothers Joseph "Joe" and William "Billy" Guidry. Pallbearers will be Craig Guidry, Josh Saurage, Christopher Guidry, Charles Harris, Rob Cope, Jr. and Eric Lacy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Wise and Curtis Nickens.
