Johnny L. "Judge" Taylor

A resident of Baker and a native of Jackson died Monday, June 10, 2013 at Baton Rouge General Medical Center, Mid-City Butterfly Wing. He was 76. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served for four years. He retired from DSM Copolymer after 43 years of service. Visiting will be Sunday, June 16, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, at Richardson Funeral Home, 11816 Jackson Street, Clinton. Funeral Service will be Monday, June 17, 11:00 AM at Freeman Baptist Church, 4628 Hwy 955 W, Ethel. Reverend Mac Henry Wallace, officiating. Interment will be in the Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; Valaida Boatner Taylor, one daughter; Greshlyn Renee Taylor, four grandsons; Brandon D. (Krystal) Jones, Talmadge D. Jones, Lemuel D. Jones, Taylor D. Jones all of Baker, one great-granddaughter; Briel N. Jones of Baker, three brothers-in-law; Claude (Roberta) Boatner, Baker, Shelby (Sarah) Boatner, New Orleans, Alfred (Julia) Marshall, Baker, one sister-in-law; Joyce H. Taylor, Baton Rouge, two god-children; Mildred O. Brown, Baton Rouge and Darryl W. Jones, Orange, TX and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents; Nolan and Jessie Taylor, four brothers; Joseph, Nolan, Jr., Lawrence and Albert Taylor, two sisters; Ruth Taylor Davis and Delphine Taylor.
