Leo "Lee" Levy

Loved by everyone who knew him, "Lee" passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, after a long battle with emphysema. He was born in Oakland, CA, on May 22, 1924, to the late Evera and Leo Levy. Besides his family, he loved fly fishing. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Geraldine "Jerry" Levy; a son, Lance Blair, of Morgan Hill, CA; granddaughters, Charity Besirevic, of Fair Oaks, CA; five stepchildren who loved him as a father, Donna Ramirez, and Mike Ramirez and wife Patty, all of Baton Rouge, David Ramirez and partner Craig Broch, of Orinda CA, Gary Ramirez and wife Carol, of Concord, CA, and John Ramirez, of Alameda, CA; two stepgrandsons, Ryan and Ross Ramirez, of Baton Rouge; and three stepgranddaughters, Emma Ramirez and Abby Ramirez, of Concord, CA, and Isabella Ramirez, of Alameda, CA. He was a retired firefighter and a veteran of World War II. He will be missed dearly by his family. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., Baton Rouge, LA.
