Lionel Phillip Dufour

A resident of Amite, former resident of Harahan, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at Ochsner Medical Center in Kenner. He was born August 22, 1948 in New Orleans and was 65 years of age. Mr. Dufour was a prominent businessman and founder and president of Farm Fresh Food Suppliers, Inc. and Louisiana Lightning, LLC. He was a board member and past president of Louisiana Meat Processors Association (L.A.M.P.A) and a lifelong member of Turnbull Marching Club. He was also a member of St. Helena Catholic Church, Amite. Survived by wife, Kathleen Kirtland Dufour; sons, Jason Phillip Dufour and Matthew David Dufour and wife, Brooke; daughter, Dana Dufour Higgins and husband, Lucas; grandchildren, Joshua Phillip Dufour, Grace Margaret Higgins, Roman Matthew Dufour, Lucas Daniel Higgins and Alexandra Noelle Dufour and a brother, Martin Dufour. Preceded in death by his parents, Rosemond John Dufour and Frances Duplanties Dufour; a brother, Roland John Dufour and a sister, Margaret Ann Dufour. Visitation at St. Helena Catholic Church Hall, Amite, from 8:30 AM until 11:30 AM on Saturday, June 14, 2014. Religious Services at St. Helena Catholic Church at 12 Noon. Services conducted by Fr.
