A native of Plaquemine, he died Friday, March 1, 2013, at his residence in Gonzales. He was 60. Visiting at Cross Fire Tabernacle Church, 76580 Rosedale Road, Rosedale, on Monday, March 4, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Brother Troy Romig. Interment in Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Survived by his daughter, Julie O'Pry and husband Jarret; son, Louis "Butch" Romig Jr. and wife Sharon; four sisters, Dorothy Irby, Jewel (Elaine) Romig, Cindy Young McBurney and Ruby Edwards; two brothers, John Murle Romig and wife Sue, and Russell Jones; nine grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
