Small in stature but strong at heart, Mae passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2014 at 5:15 a.m. at Pointe Coupee General in New Roads, LA at the age of 89. She was an independent woman who was a devote Catholic. She lived her entire life in Grosse Tete, LA until entering Pointe Coupee Healthcare in New Roads, LA. Mae graduated from Shady Grove and worked as a grocery store clerk until she retired. Visiting will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Grosse Tete on Saturday, April 5th from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Rev. Joseph Sanjay. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. Mae is survived by her twin brother, Ray J. Murry and his wife Doris of Iuka, MS; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a special friend, Oneal Babin. Mae is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Sr. and Lucy Landry Murry; sister, Mary Murry Bourgeois; brother, Edgar Murry Jr. Mae was a member of the St. Joseph Altar Society and would like memorial donations to be send to St. Joseph Catholic Church in her honor.
