Naomi Stark Kron left this world on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at 6:15 am. She was a resident of Old Jefferson Community Care Center on Baringer-Foreman Road, Baton Rouge. God saw you getting weary; He did what he thought best. He came and stood beside you and whispered "Come and Rest". Naomi was born on March 24, 1919 in Merryville, La. and was a 1936 graduate of Merryville High School. She has been a resident of Baton Rouge for over 70 years and a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church since its inception in 1954. She will be remembered as a loving and giving person who never had a negative thing to say about anyone. Devoted wife and mother, she lived her life helping people and trying not to be a burden to anyone. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of her family. Naomi was an avid LSU fan and a football season ticket holder since the 1950s. Preceded in death by her husband, Raymond E. Kron; parents, Mason and Flavia Stark; brothers, Lawrence Stark, Mance Stark, Paul Stark, Leonard Stark; and sister, Elizabeth Faust. She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Kron, sons, Raymond E. Kron, Jr. and wife Karen, Dennis Kron and wife Pat, Warren Kron and wife Kim and Paul Kron and wife Colleen. She is also survived by her sister, Mary Ruth Duplessis, brother, David Stark, and brother-in-law, Charles Faust. She leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be her grandsons Patrick Doran, Daniel Doran, Warren Kron, Jr., Kevin Kron, Troy Williams, Travis Williams and Michael Kron. Naomi was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Mercy St. Joseph's Altar Society for many years. She has gone to her final resting place with the Lord and the world is a little less bright with her passing. She will be sorely missed. There will be visitation from 9:00 – 10:30am at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 14th with a Mass at 10:30.
