Octavie Marie Aucoin

AUCOIN, OCTAVIE MARIE A devoted homemaker and resident of Pierre Part, she was entrusted to God's care at 2:35 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center in Thibodaux. She was 87 and a native of Bayou Godel. Visitation at Ourso Funeral Home, Pierre Part, from 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, until 9:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 25. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Pierre Part, at 10 a.m. Saturday, officiated by the Rev. Clarence Waguespack. Interment in church cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Velma Lovell and husband James, Pierre Part; a son, Harold Aucoin and wife Maudry, Pierre Part; a sister, Elise Daigle, Pierre Part; a brother, Ulyise Cavalier Sr. and wife Ann, Pierre Part; seven precious grandchildren, Harold Aucoin Jr., Pierre Part, Jason Aucoin, St. Amant, Gerald Aucoin, Belle River, Kim Halphin, Walker, and Tina Landry, Crystal Aucoin and Scott Lovell all of Pierre Part; eight great-grandchildren, Aaron Aucoin, Walker, Jessica Aucoin, St. Amant, Brooke Aucoin, Belle River, Codi Deaton, Walker, and Clair Barbier, Bailee Landry, Carson Landry and Caley Delatte, all of Pierre Part. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Emile and Locadie Cavalier; her loving husband, Robert Aucoin; a precious grandchild, Jamie Lovell; six brothers and nine sisters.
