Oscar "Big O" Ford Jr.

A native of West Monroe, La., he passed away at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at his home in Walker. He was 71 and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at First Little Rock Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 24, from 8 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Edgar L. Thomas. Interment in Louisiana National Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Rose Marie Ford; daughters, AnYetta Ford, Myra Ford and Shawndrecka Parker; sons, Cedric Ford Sr. and Taurus Calligan; 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his mother, father and sister. Pallbearers will be Van Richardson Jr., Gerald Spruell Sr., Gerald Spruell Jr., Dejuan Ford, Jeremy Ford and Frederick McCray. Honorary pallbearers are Cedric Ford Sr., Denzel Ford, William Turner, Michael Thompson, Taurus Calligan, Perry Calligan, Darryl Calligan and N. Curtis Jones.
