A resident of Greenwell Springs, Purificacion passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 after battling cancer. She was 63, and a native of Cadiz, Spain. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her life at Baker Funeral Home, 6401 Groom Road, Baker, on Friday, August 1, 2014 from 9am until memorial service in the chapel at 11am. Survived by husband, Larry Collier; son, Kiko Lowery; four daughters, Chancita Lowery, Maria Seguin, Brenda Thorsland, and Edna Parrino; three sisters, Gina Read, Maria Lopez Campanario, and Lourdes Lopez Fernandez; 15 grandchildren, Kiko Jr., Kristal, Kristian, Kiko, Trinh, Brandon, Holli, Chantel, Noah, Christiana, Adien, Dakota, Isaiah, Sophia, and Cole; and a great granddaughter, Sophie. She was preceded in death by her father, Bernardino Lopez Fernandez; mother, Asusian Lopez Fernandez; sister, Carmen Lopez Fernandez; and two brothers, Jesus Lopez Fernandez, and Jose Lopez Fernandez. Purificacion loved the beach; it was her paradise. She also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and interior decorating. She will be greatly missed.
