Shirley Mae St. Romain Aguillard

A homemaker and a resident and native of Port Allen, she died at 4:40 a.m. Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, at Golden Age Nursing Home in Denham Springs. She was 69. Visiting at Holy Family Catholic Church, Port Allen, on Monday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., with Monsignor Robert Berggreen, celebrant. Interment in Chenal Cemetery in Jarreau. She is survived by her mother, Viola Lemoine St. Romain LeBlanc and husband Jules, of Port Allen; a sister, Anna Jeanette St. Romain Oubre Milligan, of Port Allen; a brother, Wilfred St. Romain Jr.; and godchild and nephew Michael Oubre and nephews Barry Oubre and wife Dana, Kendall Oubre, and Michael Oubre and wife Sheryl. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Neil Aguillard; stepson, Troy Aguillard; and father, Wilfred J. St. Romain Sr. Pallbearers will be her nephews Michael, Kendall and Barry Oubre, and Bill Roberts, Mason McClain, Ray Gauthier and Daniel Lemoine. Honorary pallbearers are Lawrence Lemoine and Jeremy Conrad. Special thanks to Golden Age Nursing Home staff, especially Tina Misner. Wilbert Funeral Home of Port Allen is in charge of arrangements.
