I worked at Elayn Hunt Correctional Center from 1979 to 1984. Mr. McFatter always treated everyone with respect and dignity. I had many interactions with Mr. McFatter because of me being security and he was in classification.

I worked with your father years ago at Angola. He was one of the finest men that I have ever known. He was compassionate, kind and would go to bat for the "little guy." He made my world a little better and easier, while I worked in the mental health department and also with Hospice. I am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you.

My brother and I grew up in Belfair with Dwayne many years ago. Dwayne was one of the nicest guys you could meet. He was a gentle giant who never had a bad word for any one. I remember many football games and trying to tackle Dwayne, it took almost all of us to bring him down. Life was much simpler back then and Dwayne was a very good friend and a fine person. My condolences to his family
