I was saddened to hear of the passing of another one of my classmates. Curtis was such a joy to be around, and thoroughly enjoyed himself at the last reunion he attended. The pictures tell the story. Hearing of this loss was devastating. To Kip, Joan and Faye, I can say I know what you are going through. Your brother was special. Loved by so many. C.L., a dedicated hard-working employee of LA Department of Transportation, District 61, Gang 510. We worked together for years and when he left us, I missed the easy conversations and the ready smile and quick jokes. Now, he will be waiting on us all in eternity. C.L. was a unique man I met him when my twin married Kip he took my little sister and I on as his little sisters. In life no matter where I saw him after Kip remarried he always gave the biggest hug. He watched over all the ladies in Scotlandville as a big brother. I knew if I was bothered in a crown and didn't want the disrespect all I had to do was look towards C.L. that I needed him and he would chase the harasser away. He was so true to being as real as it gets with his character. Yes he will be missed but he is resting now and smiling at his family that went before him. To Lo and the children may God embrace your broken heart.
