Linda,Bob,and Mike,
We are so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. Just received the obituary from my Mom's caretaker, Margaret. Your Dad was a good man! Never realized he had such an extensive career in the Army. So glad we stopped by to see them in 2010 at St James. Our thoughts are with you and family.

Your father left so many legacies you know. I want to add one to your heart that you may not know. I was the first female Probation and Parole Officer hired off the State Register in 1970. There had been one female hired in a trasfer from Juvenile about a month before this. That was huge for 1970. And, not well received by many men throughout the System. Your father reached out to request that I be assigned to his cout after observing my work for only a few months. He mentored and taught me and set the tone for those who followed. I ended up on Elaine Hunts' Hdq staff in 1974 as a Staff Training Officer. Once again he reached out and helped me design badly needed training for "his PO's" and those all over Louisiana. I still honor and love him. God bless you all.

Dear Mike, Bob and Linda,
I am so very saddened and sorry to hear of your Father's death. You know I worked for him at the law firm. There was no finer boss or gentleman. He was so proud of all of you. Unfortunately, I am not able to attend the services as I am out of town. I have always loved your Dad like a Father. He was a dear friend and taught me good work ethic and character. I can still see him walking my children and holding my daughter as I typed briefs on Saturdays. They were 13 months apart and he was so good with them. He appreciated my efforts and treated me with such respect Again, I am so very very sorry. Be Blessed!
Warm Regards,
