Lorraine Joseph Obituary

A state employee and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010. She was 55 and a native of Woodville, Miss. Visiting at Miller & Daughter Mortuary, La. 19, Zachary, on Friday, Dec. 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Service will be held at St. Luke No. 2 Baptist Church, Lanehart Road, Woodville, on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 11 a.m. The Rev. Jerry Dixon is pastor. Interment in the church cemetery. Survived by her mother, Rosia M. Davis, Baker; two daughters, Dr. Crystal L. Joseph, Massachusetts, and Ananysia R. Joseph, Minnesota; son, Bryan A. Joseph, Baton Rouge; grandson, Nicholas Joseph, Minnesota; grandmother, Alma Minor, Baker; three sisters, Deborah Robinson and husband Huey, Beverly Davis and Monica James; brother, Sidney Davis and wife Yolanda, Baton Rouge; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her father, Walter Davis. She was a 1973 graduate of Baker High School.

Bro. James & Sis. Celeste Collier are memebers of a body of believers, Shady Grove First Missionary Baptist Church located in Baker, Louisiana. Please know you are supported by your spiritual family in prayer.

Death holds some wonderful blessings to those who believe in our Lord and Savior. It is the doorway to incomprehensible glory as one is absent from the body and is present with the Lord. That's the greatest death benefit of all!

I am sadden to hear of Lorriane passing. We graduated high school together and I had a chance to work with Lorriane at DHH for a short period of time and I also had a chance to work with her daughter Crystal for a short period of time at SU Engineering Dept. Lorriane Loved you guys very much, you'all are all she spoke about. Please remember that there is no sorrow on earth; that heaven cant heal. It will take time, but healing will come.
