A resident and native of Baton Rouge, he passed away at 8:50 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at his home. He was 75, a U.S. Army veteran and a carpenter. He was also a member of American Legion #502. Memorial service at New Light Missionary Baptist Church, 650 Blount Road, Dr. Gil H. Wright, pastor, on Thursday, Aug. 21, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Survived by his sisters, Claudette (John Jarrell), Mattie (Dr. Jasper Roper), Jeannette (Dr. Gil H. Wright); brothers, John (Matilda Clark), Tom (Annie); a devoted friend, Tracey Skipper; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father, Al Clark; mother and stepfather, Gladys and Leon Johnson; sister, Rowena Bessie and brother Cecil Clark. Interment in Port Hudson Cemetery, at 10 a.m. Friday, August 22.
