The Guest Book is expired.

He was a resident of N.O. East until Katrina took his home of 50+ years. He passed away peacefully in his Metairie home early Monday, January 28, 2013 at the age of 83. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Simoneaux, who he adored for 62 years. It was an inspiring love and marriage. His family was always his #1 priority. He was a completely devoted father to his two daughters, Darlene Hixon, Bridget Sinibaldi, his son Armand Sinibaldi, Jr. (wife Karen Klopf) and Karen Teague who he loved like his own. He worshipped his three grandsons, Trey, Justin and Adam Sinibaldi, who were the lights of his life. He was preceded in death by his father, Atillio Sinibaldi, mother, Rose Gatusa, and sister, Gloria Strnad. He will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and close long-time friends. He lived with Semper Fi spirit and serving our country as a U.S. Marine was one of his proudest honors. His dedication to service continued when he joined the N.O. Fire Department in 1957. His discipline as a firefighter and leadership as an officer helped protect our city until his retirement as a Captain in 1985. He was a talented athlete, pursued golf in his retirement, and was an avid sports enthusiast with passion for his Saints and Hornets. His greatest joy was supporting his three grandsons in any and all endeavors which made him a longtime loyal fan of Rummel athletics and recently of Nicholls Colonels baseball. He lived his life with passion, dignity, honor, integrity and meaning. His character will always serve as a shining example to those who knew him and his endearing sense of humor was just one more reason he was loved and respected. Visitation will be Saturday, February 2, at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 6425 W. Metairie, Metairie, LA from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, with memorial Mass celebrated at noon. There will be no interment as his final act of generosity was donation of his body to LSU Medical Center for research in aiding others. Donations are welcome to St Jude Children's Hospital from Armand Sinibaldi in memory of Andre Colletti.
