Billy Franklin Carvin passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013. Age 66 years. He was born in Morton, Mississippi on August 29, 1946 to the late Dovie Christine Wilson and Joseph Raymond Carvin of Biloxi, Mississippi. He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn "Jacquee" Carvin; his son, Christopher Dumas Carvin (Ingrid Barrios); his daughter, Jessica Elizabeth Carvin; his stepson, Christopher Scott Leone; his brother, Joseph Raymond Carvin, Jr.; his sister, Karen Carvin Ledkins; his father-in-law, John H. Jackson; and his brothers-in-law, Richard B. Jackson and Gerald P. "Jay" Jackson (Joyce). He was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Carvin, and a brother, Nolan Jehu Carvin. Bill will be sadly missed by many friends. He was graduated from Biloxi High School, attended LSU, and served in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the president and owner of B. F. Carvin Construction Company. He was a long time member and past president of the Associated Builders and Contractors. Bill was a lover of all things New Orleans, particularly its history, cuisine and music. He was an avid golfer and member of Chateau Golf and Country Club where he enjoyed the BBMB Saturday morning golf group. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 724 Camp Street in New Orleans, on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 10:00AM. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 8:00AM.
