Billy Garrard, age 88, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Thibodaux Regional Hospital. A native of Liberty, Texas and resident of Thibodaux. A veteran of World War II with the United States Navy. He was the last surviving partner of The Hycatector Company, president of Electro-Craft Corporation and Strata-Log Incorporated. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Thibodaux Funeral Home and will continue on Thursday, December 5, 2013 from 8:00 am until funeral time. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia McCollum Garrard. Sons, Michael C. Garrard of Baton Rouge and J. Mitchell Garrard of Thibodaux, daughters Beth Garrard Perque of Gretna, Rachel Garrard Whitefield of Austin, Texas, Renee Garrard Knight of Thibodaux and Rebecca Nann Garrard of Dallas, Texas. Sister Nann Roberts and nephews, Steve Martin and David Scott Martin. Billy is also survived by 10 grandchildren; Jennifer Garrard Himel, Jeremy Garrard, Cherie Perque Hollingsworth, Patrick Perque, Cree Garrard, Christain Knight, Jill Knight, Jacob Whitefield, Elizabeth Garrard, Lucas Whitefield and five great-grandchildren; Caleb Garrard, Rian Perez, Veda Himel, Maddixx Perque and Ayden Garrard. He was preceded in death by his parents; Miriam McCrieght and Billie Garrard, sister, Alice Garrard Pritchard and brother, Benny Garrard.
