Charles Earle Henry, Sr., a native of Yazoo City, MS and lifelong resident of Baton Rouge and Mandeville, LA, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2012 at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He was 67. "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." Psalm 23:6. Charles graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and attended Louisiana State University. He also served in the Louisiana National Guard. Charles is survived by his wife of 25 years, Diane Cavell Henry, four children, Charles Henry, Jr., Samuel "Luke" Henry, Warren Henry, Laure Payton Hyman and her husband Wesley; three step-sons, Winston Smith, Stephen Smith and his wife Collette, Christopher Smith and his wife Meghan; seven grandchildren, Charles "Hank" Henry III, Sarah Ellen Henry, Kris Dawson, Hunter Smith, Garrett Smith, Ethan Smith and Tripp Smith. He was preceded in death by his parents, C.C. Henry and Earline Russum Henry. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, on Tuesday, Dec. 18 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Avenue, Baton Rouge, on Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St., Baton Rouge.
