Claudette Ann Tennyson was born Claudette Ann Buss on October 9, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri and died on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She relocated to Shreveport with her family at the age of 15. In 1976, she married James Richard Tennyson. Claudette and Jim were blessed with a combined family of seven children. She is survived by her children, Mona Brownfield Bivens and husband John, Arlene Brownfield, Monica Tennyson Roussel and husband, Lewis, Richard Tennyson and wife Pam, James C. Tennyson and wife, Jamie, and Melinda Tennyson; the Tennyson family was also blessed with twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Fr. Gerald Buss. She is preceded in death by her parents Clarence Author and Lillian Buss; brother, Thomas Buss; and son, Gregory Terrell Brownfield. Claudette was a long-time member of the Louisiana Hemophiliac Association, St. Patrick Altar Society, Baton Rouge Elks Lodge 490 Ladies Auxiliary, and she was a supporter of the St. Jude Foundation. Pallbearers will be John Virgil Bivens, Trey Roussel, Richard Tennyson, James C. Tennyson, Lewis Roussel, and Vincent Foster. Visitation will be March 27th, 2014 at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA from 5:00pm-8:00pm; the Rosary will be recited at 6:00pm. Visitation will resume, March 28th, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA starting at 9:30am til service time 10:30am, burial will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA.
