Clayton J. Hebert Sr., 81, died on Wednesday, December 05, 2012 at his home in White Castle surrounded by his family. Clayton was a police officer with the White Castle Sheriff's office for 26 years and served as Chief of Police for 16 years. He loved to work in his yard and go dancing. When he visited with friends and family he enjoyed telling jokes and laughing. One of his favorite meals was eating boiled seafood. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Earline Wunstell Hebert; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Hebert and Donald Fontenot and Debra Hebert and Albert ""TeeDee"" Adams; son Clayton Hebert Jr. and friend Jennifer M. Landry; two grandchildren, Bonni Fontenot and Clayton Hebert III; two great grandchildren; two sisters Joycelyn Butler and Shirley Molliere; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Gaudet. Preceded in death by his parents, Rena and Elisa Hebert; two sisters, Ella Mae Hebert and Vivian Millazzo; brother Melvin Hebert; niece Carol Butler Staton; nephew Kenny Butler; and great nephew Mikey Staton. Family would like to give a special thanks to the Hospice of Baton Rouge, family and friends, and to all the neighbors who were always there. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, December 7, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home in White Castle.
