Daisy Bellelo, 89, died peacefully at her home in Baton Rouge at 12:30am on March 30, 2013. She was born September 28, 1923 in Lakeland, was a graduate of Poydras High School and lived for many years in Donaldsonville. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was a retired pre-school teacher and owner of Kiddies Korner in Donaldsonville. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Caldwell Joseph, son Mark Ellis, father Willie David, mother Anne Bushe David, three brothers and seven sisters. Se is survived by two daughters, Wanda Jo and David Kirchner of The Villages Florida, and Cindy and Daniel Boudreaux of Napoleonville, LA, two granddaughters Danielle and Calli Boudreaux of Baton Rouge and one brother Clifford David of Lakeland. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, an officer in the Women's Altar Society, religion teacher, and a member of Ascension Home Demonstration. She will be remembered for her love of children. Visitation will be from 9am until services at noon on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Greenoaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Donations can be made in Daisy's honor to Our Lady of the Lake Children's Miracle Network Foundation Baton Rouge.
