She was a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana State University and taught at Broadmoor Elementary. She served on the Diocesan Board of Communication, Our Lady of Mercy School Board, was a founding member of the Latin-American Commission for the Diocese, and served in the Guatemalan Mission. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, and the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. She received the Grand Cross, Pilgrim Shell, and Order of the Palm from Pope John Paul, II. She was also a member of the Junior League of Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Area Foundation, LSU Foundation, Kappa Delta Sorority, and was a charter member of the Bengal Belles. She is survived by daughters and sons in law, Judge Elizabeth and Michael Magner of New Orleans, Sheryl and Mac Womack, Margaret Downing all of Baton Rouge, daughter in law, Dr. Michelle Wall of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Michael and Betsy Magner of New Orleans, MacDougall, Reed, McKenzie, Brendan, Annie and Joseph Womack of Baton Rouge, Andrew, Katie, and Maddie Wall of Nashville, Tennessee. Preceeded in death by her husband, Dr. Rivers Patout Wall, her son, Dr. Rivers Patout Wall, III, by her parents, Claire Gebelin and Seid Waddell Hendrix, and by her sister, Elizabeth Claire Hendrix. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, from 5:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, March 9, with recitation of the Rosary at 6:00 pm. Visitation will also be at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church from 9:00-10:00 am on Monday, March 10, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 10:00 am on Monday, March 10, 2014, conducted by the Reverend Miles Walsh, Reverend Cleo Milano, and Reverend Monsignor Robert Berggreen. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers are: T. MacDougall Womack, Michael W. Magner, T. MacDougall Womack, Jr., Michael W. Magner, Jr., Brendan W. Womack, Andrew R. Wall, and W. Joseph Womack. Honorary Pallbearers: Dr. David W. Wall and David W. Wall, Jr. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred. Please contact Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, St. Agnes Catholic Church, St. Joseph's Cathedral, or a church of your choice.
