A native of Gonzales & a resident of French Settlement, he was born on Nov 28, 1934 & passed away due to a battle of pulmonary fibrosis, at the age of 78 on Sunday Oct 20, 2013, at 4:30pm at his daughter's home in Zachary. Retired as a heavy equipment operator of Local 406. He is survived by his precious wife Atrice Decareaux of 56 years. He was a loving & devoted husband. He has 2 daughters, Ruth Kuhns & husband Nicky of Zachary; Martha Algernon & husband Jay of Mobile, AL; 2 sons, Edward & wife Michelle of Colyell, & Philip of Mobile, AL; 1 sister, Verna Kendig; 4 grandchildren, Nicole, Kyle, Jacob & Hailey. Preceded in death by his parents Forest & Eveline Gore; 4 brothers, James Wilford, Elijah Harry, George Forest, & Jonas Camile; 5 sisters, Leona Morgan, Winnie Berteau, Viola Chapman, Elva Braud & Lois Gore; 1 great grandchild, Khale Belgard. Pallbearers are Kyle Gore, Jacob Kuhns, Craig Berteau, Terry Tripp, Adril Peewee Wells, Curtis Little, Scott Vicknair & Bart Lambert. Honorary Pallbearers are Perry Dale Braud, Ronnie Sugarfoot Griggs & Jack Varnado. He was a God fearing man who loved the Lord & lived his life devoted to his family, friends & church. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church & served his community as an Alderman & Vol Fireman for French Settlement. Also enjoyed cooking jambalaya for all occasions while following his children & grandchildren in all their sports endeavors. He will be greatly missed by his family. All arrangements will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 21949 LA. Hwy. 444, LIvingston, 70754, on Friday, Oct 25th 5:00-9:00pm, & Saturday, Oct 26th 9:00-10:30am with services beginning at 10:30am. Renaissance Service, Gonzales, LA (225)644-2976
