Garry Lamont Wheeler

Garry Lamont Wheeler, 62, of Walker, LA, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, while enjoying one of his passions, hunting. Garry was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved to be in the woods or on the water. However, his true joy was his family and spending time with them. He was also a die-hard BAMA fan, always pulling for the Crimson Tide. Garry was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Saturday, Jan. 24, from 1 p.m. until memorial service at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Willis Easley. Garry is survived by his wife, Melanie Wheeler; children, Ashley Strange, Michael Wheeler, Darin Wheeler, and Darla; grandchildren, Precious Parker, Katherine Wheeler, and Emily Starling; sisters and brothers and their spouses, Kathy Holland, Rose and Donnie Allen, Patricia and Winfred Connell, Amanda and Jake Whalen, Martha and Stanley Suggs, and Buddy and Maggie Miller; as well as his extended family, Desiree Kennedy, Melissa Carter, Myles Easterly, Aiden Newsom, Allyson, Josh and Alex Miller, Renee Racine, Josh and Derek Holland, and Heather Keebler; and his dear friend, Steve West.
