Godfrey Sylvester Naquin, 84, of Labadieville, La., passed away at 4:10 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014. Services will be held at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2085 St. Mary St., Thibodaux, on Saturday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. Survived by his wife, Isabella G. Naquin; daughters, Joanie Albert (Keith), Julie Naquin, Johanna N. Crawford (Paul), and Jacqueline Naquin; six grandchildren, Tresha A. Gaudet (Brant), Kara Albert (Rusti), Emily Albert, Kaleb Naquin, Austin and Matthew Crawford; and three great-grandchildren, Bryce Gaudet, Lyla Gaudet and Miley Jo McCulla. He was preceded in death by his parents, Volzie Naquin and Linda Naquin; brothers, Lester Naquin and Bernard "Benny" Naquin; and sister, Mercedes N. Aizen. He worked as an insulator at Freeport Sulphur, a butcher at National Food Store, and was a retired school bus driver. His body was donated to Tulane University School of Medicine.
