A retired educator/band director and native and resident of Baton Rouge, he died Tuesday, June 18, 2013. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Visiting at Hall's Celebration Center, 9348 Scenic Highway, on Friday, June 21, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Visiting at the center on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service at 3:30 p.m., conducted by Pastor Willie Mae Franklin. A Kappa Alpha Psi memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday. Interment in Southern Memorial Cemetery. Survived by his sons, Michael Wayne Broussard (Patricia), Baton Rouge, and Keith Gerard Broussard, Aurora, Ill.; grandchildren, My'Lecia and My'Kia Broussard; extended family, Larry Isaac, Markeita Clark (Larry), and Samuel Gilmore (LaShaunda); six great-grandchildren, five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, other relatives, friends and former students. Preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine H. Broussard; parents, Joseph and Maggie Broussard; and brother, Alton G. Broussard.
