Joseph Vincent Centineo, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Walker, LA passed away Monday, November 19, 2012, at the age of 82, peacefully at his home with his family by his side. He was a retired firefighter and retired as Assistant Chief of Fire Prevention. He was also a graduate of Catholic High School and was a fan of LSU. He was an Army Veteran and served in the Korean War. He was a member of Plainview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Lela Watson Centineo; sons, Richard Beeson & wife, Judy, Ricky Centineo & wife, Lynn, and Doug Centineo & girlfriend, Wanda Caves; and a daughter, Bridgett Leger & husband, Todd. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, including his "Tayta", great-grand-daughter, Kennedy Lee Jones. Preceded in death by parents, Joe & Angelina Bonfanti Centineo; sister, Jetta Dailey, and brother, Anthony "Bookie" Centineo. Pallbearers will be John Buquoi, Josh Jones, Adam Beeson, Ryan Beeson, Todd Leger, and Darrell Bryant. Honorary Pallbearers will be Max Landry and Jacob Beeson. Visitation will be held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Wednesday, Nov 21, from 10:00am until the religious service in the chapel at 2:00pm, conducted by Rev. Max Landry and Rev. Leon Dunn. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. The family would like to give special thanks to the wonderful care given by Feliciana Hospice Care, including nurses Ryan and Barry.
