Ken was a wonderful friend. He was such a caring person and always took time to help. I remember calling him with what I thought was a major problem and he met with me, with no notice, late on a Friday afternoon. I have never forgotten the wise words of advice he gave me. He helped so many in similar ways. Baton Rouge will not be the same without him, but we will never forget him and his many contributions. God bless all of you.

Scott - What a tribute to such a great man. I know you are so proud to be his son. My favorite memory of him was sitting outside the camp, looking over the gardens, and receiving wonderful nuggets of wisdom. He never wasted an opportunity to listen and mentor. He will be missed. Love you all, Amy

Ken was a very great friend for a very long time and I am going to miss him a great deal. Ken did a lot and our nation Baton Rouge, the state of Louisiana and through his leadership, great vision, and hard work. We can all be thankfull to Ken for that. A man's worth can after be judged by his legacy. All one has to do is look at the family and grace created and see what an outstanding family Ken left behind. It is comforting to know that Ken will have many tomorrows.

I remember Mr. Uffman from the time I was a young boy. My father, Isaiah worked for him at the Credit Bureau for many years. Although I was young, he always seemed to be a kind and caring man. After reading of all of his contributions and efforts to make our city a better place to live, I'm sure he will be missed by many but even more by the family who loves him so. It is to you all I would like to remind, that love transcends distance, time, space and even death. Always allow the love that Mr. Ken shared with you to always live through you.
May the God of all comfort keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Grace, Steve and Kerry:
Ken was much more than a Boy Scout Council President for me, he was a role model, mentor and great friend. The lessons I learned from Ken contiue to serve me now as a retired professional and volunteer Scouter. From the night of my selection as Scout Executive, when Sarah and I were hosted to dinner in your home to the day I left Baton Rouge for the National Office, I counted on Ken for wise counsel and great solutions to whatever problem we were facing. He was a ready, fire, aim kind of a leader, but boy did he get things done. He will be missed.
