Larry Banks was born April 4, 1952, in Independence, La., and passed away at 1:14 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 62. He was a baker at Wayne Bakery and a U.S. Navy veteran. Survived by his mother, Eva T. Banks; four sisters, Annie Young, Joyce Tate, Edith Javius and Dianne Lindsey, all of Baton Rouge, La.; four brothers, Artie Banks, Raymond Banks, Walter Walker, all of Baton Rouge, La., and Minister Charles Banks of Austin, Texas. Visiting will be from 9 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2014, at Richardson Chapel COGIC, 731 W.K. Gordon St. Interment in Louisiana Independent Veterans Cemetery.
