Lou Ethel Littles Riley, 71, transitioned from Earth to glory at her home on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2013. She was a native of Grosse Tete, a resident of Plaquemine, and a retired Iberville Parsh School teacher. She was married to the Rev. Joseph Riley Jr., and the mother of three, Jonathan Riley (Joyce), of Friendswood, Texas, Maya Riley Banks (Leonard), of Port Allen, and Andre Riley (Shaydras), of St. Gabriel. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Schirrod Riley and Toylice Riley, Killeen, Texas, André Riley Jr. and DeAndre Riley, of Plaquemine, Ashanti Riley, of Donaldsonville, and Leonardo Banks Jr., of Port Allen; a great-grandchild, Juan Demarcus Riley, of Killeen, Texas; four sisters, Joy Lee Williams (David), of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Barbara Ann Blanchard (James), Althea Littles, and Julie Rose Wessinger, all of Grosse Tete; a brother, Ronnie Littles (Brendalyn), of Port Allen; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Old Mount Olive Baptist Church for the establishment of the Lou Ethel Riley Memorial Scholarship Fund. Visitation and viewing will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church No. 1, La. 405, Plaquemine, on Thursday, Aug. 29,from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Old (Methodist) Mount Olive Baptist Church, 17760 La. 77, Grosse Tete, on Friday, Aug. 30, at 11 a.m., conducted by Pastor Hiram Blanchard, with sermon by the Rev.
