Monique Cousins Warde went to be with our Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 17, 2013 after a courageous three-year battle with breast cancer. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, daughter-in-law and friend, and reverently prayed to the Blessed Mother. Her stunningly beautiful smile and laughter always lit up the room, and her passion was her three daughters. Although her time with us was much too brief, she will continue to inspire us in faith, courage, and strength. Monique was born in Metairie, Louisiana on July 17, 1980. She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge, a class of 1998 Tara High School graduate, and received her bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix in Baton Rouge. She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), and the Louisiana Youth Orchestra (Violin). She is survived by her husband Page Warde; her daughters Sidney Laney, Peighton Mayeux and Addison Warde; her mother Maria A. Cousins; her sister Heather Johnson; and numerous other family and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pink for Monique at Regions Bank. Please sign the guestbook at www.sealefuneral.com.
