A native of Dutchtown, Louisiana and resident of Debary, Florida, passed away Wednesday, November 27th, 2013 at home, at the age of 78. He was a proud Marine Corp veteran and retired from Greyhound Bus Line after 36 years. He was very active in the Optimist Club for many years. His love & passion was his wife & his children & all his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing every chance he could & returning to live on Manchac Bayou where his heart & soul always thrived. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Grace G. Duplessis Children; Gregory P. Duplessis & wife Teri, Jacquelyn Duplessis Jones & husband Jim Grandchildren; Christine Owens, Geoffrey P. Duplessis and Ashley Jones Great grandchildren; Kayleigh Herr, Eric Herr and Jarred Rohr Brothers and sisters-in-law; OJ Duplessis & Eva, Ivy Duplessis & Ruth, sister-in-law Lelia Duplessis Sisters and brother-in-laws; Ida Mae Coon, Marie Bordelon & Richard Also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Theofield Duplessis, his mother Eunice King Duplessis and brother Julian Duplessis. There will be a visitation at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, Louisiana Thursday, December 5th, 2013, from 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville on Friday, Dec. 6, from 9:30am until a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am, with Father Tony Russo & Father Eric Guyan & Deacon Brent Duplessis, con-celebrants. Entombment will follow in Hope Haven Garden of Memory Cemetery, Prairieville.
