Riley F. Boudreaux, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a lifelong resident of Lutcher. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Emily Matherne Boudreaux; children: Riley Boudreaux, Jr. and wife Betty; Ann B. Pettiss; James Boudreaux and wife Rita; Irene B. Melancon and husband Don; Michael Boudreaux and wife Stephanie, Wendy B. Neal, Beth B. Zeringue, Amy Boudreaux, Angelle B. Keller, Nikki Boudreaux and husband Bill Ledden. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren due in 2013 (including Riley IV) and a sister, Irene A. Boudreaux and a brother Robert P. Boudreaux, Sr. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Maude Baker; parents C.T. Boudreaux, Sr. and Alice Irene Boudreaux; his step-mom Jane Boudreaux; his 1st wife of 18 years Marietta Dicharry Boudreaux; his brothers Claude, Jr. and George; son-in-law Tuffy Neal; grandchildren: Marietta and Brett Boudreaux, Christie Melancon, and Ryan Pettiss. He ran a family business, C. T. Boudreaux Lumber Co. with his brother Robert Boudreaux for over 50 years; owner of Boudreaux Realty, Inc.; one of the former owners of Englade-Boudreaux Insurance Co.; Gem Drugs; the Chairman of the Board of Directors at St. James Bank for 20 years; the President of the St. James Parish School Board for 20 years; an Army Veteran of WWII; a member of the VFW; a 30 year member of the Lions Club; former Lector at St. Joseph Catholic Church; member of the Knights of Columbus, and an avid tennis player. Visitation will be on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Rose Lynn Funeral Service, 1870 Cabanose Ave., Lutcher followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Paulina, LA.
