Robert R. "Bob" Parker, of Roswell, GA and a native of Baton Rouge, died December 12, 2012 at his home in Roswell, one month short of his 81st birthday. Bob was born in Baton Rouge, he was a graduate of Baton Rouge High School and LSU, and he was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was one of five sons of former Baton Rouge police chief, the late Fred C. Parker, Jr. and the late Laverne Sessions Parker. He was also preceded in death by two older brothers, Colonel Fred C. Parker, III, U. S. Army (Ret.), a veteran of the Vietnam War, and Donovan W. "Mickey" Parker, a WWII veteran and a retired Louisiana District Judge. He is survived by his wife, Valerie Evans Parker, a native of London and resident of Roswell; his brothers, U.S. District Judge John V. Parker, of Baton Rouge, and Whilden S. Parker, of Sun City Center, FL. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no memorial Service. Northside Chapel Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements, 770-645-1414.
