FRANCIS, Sherita Cecile Landry, 54, a Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologists, of Barron, Wisconsin, passed away Monday, April 16, 2013 in Arlington, Texas. She was born November 1, 1958, in New Orleans, LA, the daughter of Westley "West" and Marie "Mikki" Richard Landry, and was a 42-year resident of Baton Rouge. Sherita graduated from St. Joseph's Academy high school in 1976, and from Louisiana State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology in 1981. For the next 19 years she worked in various pathology departments and laboratories in Baton Rouge as a Medical and Clinical Laboratory Technologists. In 2000 she moved to Barron, Wisconsin to take a laboratory position at the Mayo Clinic Health System. Sherita was known for her wittiness, sassiness, and outgoing personality. She was a loving and giving mother and grandmother. She is survived by daughter, Kacy Marie Francis of Arlington, TX, son, Rohn-Michael Francis of Arlington, TX, grandchildren, Rohn-Michael, Jr., Ta'Rhon, Jeremiah, and Makhalee Francis of Houston, TX, brother Carlos (and Cecile) Landry of Atlanta, GA, sister Traci Landry of Baton Rouge, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many precious friends in Louisiana, Texas and Wisconsin, including the beloved and caring Landry, Francis, and Richard families. She was preceded in death by her mother, "Mikki" and father "West" Landry, and sister, Pat Scott. Services will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Desselle Funeral Home, 263 Eddie Robinson Dr. Baton Rouge, LA 70802. 225-383-8891.
